He gives an insightful history about how his family move from Greece into South Africa to how he became one of South Africa's leading human rights lawyer who represented Former President Nelson Mandela at his treason Rivonia trail years after they met in the halls of wits university as students.
Brief: To celebrate Nelson Mandela's birthday we invited his former lawyer and friend Advocate George Bizos to reflect on their times together as friends and comrades in the fight against apartheid South Africa and building a new South Africa together. He speaks about the loneliness of losing all his friends from death and old age as well why he will work until his dying day. Reflecting on this conversation one gets a sense that he truly lived up to "working until his last days" as he was still representing many disadvantaged people pro-bono well into his 80's.
